SPCD galvanized steel coil is a cold-rolled steel grade that undergoes a hot-dip galvanizing process to improve its corrosion resistance. The “SPCD” designation refers to deep-drawing quality steel, characterized by its excellent formability and smooth surface, making it ideal for applications requiring complex shaping or molding. The zinc coating (“galvanized”) provides effective protection against corrosion, extending the material’s lifespan, especially in outdoor or humid environments. Product Inspection
The appearance of the coating is bright, meticulous, without sagging or wrinkles. Thickness inspection can use coating thickness gauge, the method is relatively simple. The thickness of the coating can also be obtained by converting the amount of zinc adhesion. For the bonding strength, a bending press can be used to bend the sample at 90-180°, and there should be no cracks or peeling of the coating. A heavy hammer can also be used to test, and the salt spray test and copper sulfate corrosion test can be done in batches.
Product Measurement
Engineered to JIS G 3141 standards, SPCD Galvanized Steel Coil offers a thickness range of 0.4–2.0 mm (±0.02 mm tolerance), widths of 500–1,200 mm, and zinc coating grades (Z60–Z275) for durable performance in appliance housings, lighting fixtures, and machinery panels. With tensile strength of 280–420 MPa and elongation up to 25%, it balances formability and strength for medium-complexity stamping. Custom slit widths, coil weights (4–15 tons), and chromate passivation are available.
Product Packaging
Our SPCD Galvanized Steel Coil is securely packaged in heavy-duty, edge-protected polypropylene sleeves with anti-corrosion film to safeguard the zinc coating during global logistics. Each coil is shrink-wrapped and strapped with reinforced steel bands to prevent deformation, ideal for medium-complexity forming applications. Bulk orders (1,200+ coils) include palletized packaging with customizable branding or 100% recyclable materials to align with ESG goals.
